Sun Moon Yoga and Healing Announces New CEU Training for 200 Hour Certified Yoga Teachers If you currently hold a yoga alliance 200 hour certificate for teaching and wish to enhance your skills, Sun Moon can help you the gain the confidence needed to lead public yoga classes. Enroll in our upcoming 200 Yoga Teacher Training and gain valuable opportunities to practice teach in a nurturing, encouraging and non-judgmental environment. Lead Teachers, Emily Sobel and Lisa Horan-Sockol (co-owners of Sun Moon Yoga and Healing) have 17 years plus combined experience of teaching various modalities of yoga and meditation to hundreds of students. Once a carefully chosen 4 full weekend (8 sessions) of training is selected by you with Emily’s and Lisa’s guidance, practice teaching starts on weekend 2. At the end of the eighth session, with determination and genuine passion, expect to receive the necessary skills entailed of teaching to either 1 or 100 students with confidence. Completion of Approximately 65 Hours, combined in class and out of class, you should gain the following knowledge and skill sets: Intensive overview of Sun Moon yoga’s methodology and philosophy Introduction to the teaching tools that allSun Moon Yoga teachers use Refinement of teaching skills and introduction to a new approach to teaching yoga Find Your Voice (modality of yoga that fits your talents and passions) Better understand the significance of proper alignment Delve further into anatomy and how it is applied to yoga poses Learn how to sequence classes based on the peak pose or general well rounded classes. Observe bodies to help students align safely Practice teach in an extremely supportive environment Have the opportunity to teach a donation class at Sun Moon Yoga and Healing; the charity of your choice Market and promote yourself and your classes Know the characteristics of what makes a “good” teacher. Entice studio owners to want to hire you over your competition. As teaching opportunities grow at Sun Moon, the possibility of subbing, leading a beach yoga class and landing a permanent slot here, may manifest. Combined classroom and outside hours must equal at least 65 hours. In order to receive alliance CEU’s for additional hours within a 200 Hour Teacher Training Course, in person attendance is mandatory, complete assigned homework and teach an in person donation class under the guidance of Sun Moon Yoga.
