"Acknowledgment, Assumption of Risk, Waiver, and Release of Liability"

I, the undersigned, hereby consent to and agree to the provisions outlined in this Waiver and Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement (the “Agreement”) regarding my participation in any and all activities offered by Sun Moon Yoga and Healing. This includes but is not limited to yoga classes, workshops, teacher trainings, retreats, continued education programs, healing events, and any other yoga- or wellness-related programs or activities (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Programs”).

Assumption of Risk

I understand that the Programs may involve physically and mentally demanding activities, including but not limited to:

• Yoga postures and exercises (asana)

• Breathing techniques (pranayama)

• Meditation, chanting, or mantra practice

• Hands-on adjustments or physical assistance

• Energy healing modalities, including Reiki and other practices

• Activities involving group participation or reflection

I acknowledge that participation in these Programs may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: physical injuries (e.g., strains, sprains, soreness, or other musculoskeletal injuries); emotional or mental stress; and potential aggravation of pre-existing injuries or conditions.

I affirm that I am in good physical and mental health and capable of safely participating in the Programs. If I have any medical concerns, physical injuries, or health conditions, I will consult my physician prior to participation and inform Sun Moon Yoga and Healing of any such conditions in writing.

Waiver and Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Programs, I, for myself, my heirs, guardians, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereby voluntarily release, discharge, and hold harmless Sun Moon Yoga and Healing, its owners, instructors, employees, volunteers, and affiliates (collectively referred to as the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands arising out of or related to my participation in the Programs.

This includes but is not limited to claims for physical injury, emotional distress, property damage, or financial loss caused by the negligence of the Released Parties, other participants, or unforeseen circumstances. I understand and expressly assume all risks associated with my participation.

Photo and Media Release

I acknowledge that Sun Moon Yoga and Healing may photograph or record Programs for promotional purposes. By participating, I grant permission for my image, voice, and likeness to be used in promotional materials, including but not limited to websites, social media, and printed publications, without compensation or prior notice.

Payment and Refund Policy

I understand and agree to the following payment and refund terms:

• Tuition fees, deposits, or workshop/event fees must be paid in accordance with the deadlines specified.

• All payments, including deposits, are non-refundable.

• Credits, transfers, or refunds will not be issued for missed classes, workshops, or events under any circumstances.

• Sun Moon Yoga and Healing reserves the right to modify payment and refund policies as needed.

Participant Responsibilities

I agree to:

1. Take full responsibility for my physical and mental well-being during all Programs.

2. Practice at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for my physical and mental condition.

3. Follow all rules, guidelines, and instructions provided by instructors, staff, and volunteers.

4. Notify instructors of any injuries, conditions, or limitations that may affect my participation.

I further agree to refrain from engaging in any actions that may impair my physical or mental capacity during Programs, such as the use of alcohol, drugs, or other substances.

Severability Clause

If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Acknowledgment of Understanding

I have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement. I acknowledge that this is a legally binding document, and by signing it, I am waiving certain legal rights.

If signing on behalf of a minor, I affirm that I am the legal guardian and accept full responsibility for the minor’s participation in the Programs.
